WE TOTALLY BROS :|b

Mau is definitely in Allen's top five people in Aather--he's one of the people that Allen sort of defines his time here by! Rabi and Lenalee are "before Aather" and kind of occupy their own special place in his heart, but Mau (along with Excel and Mal) have also made their own mark on him! HE LOEV THEM LIKE FAMBLY! PEOPLE BETTER STEP OFF THEM IF THEY KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR THEM! He never really considers Mau's age as a limiting factor at all--Allen himself is what, only like a year, a year and a half? older than Mau, and he doesn't consider age or gender to be something that limits you if you have determination! And with their various trauma games and the fact that Mau could deal with him as he was when he first got to Aather--Allen is pretty sure Mau could handle whatever he needed to! It doesn't mean he'd want to burden Mau deliberately, but he would trust Mau to handle it if he had to say something without pulling his punches.

ON SAPPHIRE ... Allen is proud of his scrappy little team! He kind of mentally divides them between "protectors" and "protectees" which happen to also fall along the lines of "people he feels close to" and "people he feels more distant towards," but in the end Sapphire is his team and they are underdogs and THEY WILL NEVER SAY DIE! YEAH!! Just because he's not in the cabin a lot doesn't mean he thinks less of them--he's just a restless sort of guy. :|a But Sapphire is like his surrogate Black Order in a lot of ways, and he at least trusts them to be able to handle him and still accept him EVEN WHEN HE IS A JERKFACE. It's nice. :(

REVERSE ME :3a

Allen is probably the person Mau is closest to in Aather in a lot of ways -- they're similar ages, they're both sort of... suspicious... and they're both really protective of people. So Mau finds Allen easy to be around and get along with, trusts him implicitly and loves him like a brother. At the same time, though, he doesn't want to be the kid brother, and he wants Allen to know he can handle himself and be able to count on him, so he tries not to explode all over him too much. He kind of does this with everybody except Mal, though, because Mal will never stop treating him like a kid brother and that's somehow okay. MUST BE COMPETENT AND DO ALL THE THINGS ALWAYS. ...okay no, he does that around ABSOLUTELY everybody. ANYWAY. Despite this, he doesn't feel that he actually needs to prove himself to Allen -- more just keep up his end of things -- so he relaxes around him quite a bit.

What does Allen's typical day look like?

- Get up whenever he is rolled out of bed by someone
- Eat breakfast (a lot)
- Check fishing traps and see if there's anything new to bring home
- WANDER AROUND A LOT
- Go back to check the fish traps again and bring back anything home to Sapphire
- Eat lunch (a lot)
- MOAR WANDERING, possibly checking out the vegetable patch even if nothing is ripe
- Check traps yet again and bring home stuff
- Eat dinner (a lot)
- Bum around inside for dusk/sneak out if he's really antsy
- WANDER AROUND ...
- Come back fairly late and sleep like the dead

What about Mau's :o

-Get up at dawn and prep breakfast/clean up inside/practice reading and writing, probably getting in Excel's way until she kicks him out.
- Go to the lake, swim, try and get the hang of spear fishing (which he still fails at)
- Check the snare line, go up to the vegetable patch and weed and water.
- Deal with whatever food stuff is going on (so, hanging carcasses, skinning, butchering, washing vegetables etc) which takes awhile because he's sort of making it all up.
- Burns the garbage (he does this every day so it doesn't build up)
- Makes lunch for Sapphire (I assume that Judith and Excel either take charge of this or help with this a lot of the time)
- Works on whatever project he has going (teaching people stuff, picking out a tree for the canoe, anchoring his swimming log to the shore, quests, whatever)
- Finds somebody to spar with
- Another quick swim to wash off
- Makes dinner for Sapphire (I assume other people also help with this)
- Eats, tries to make sure everybody on Sapphire eats
- Naps during dusk or practices reading
- Goes out at night if they're low on food and gets a haunch
- Sleeps for the last few hours of night until dawn

BASICALLY he works constantly, and if runs out of work he thinks of something else to do.

Why'd you app Allen? WHAT DREW YOU TO HIM or whatever.

FUNNY STORY: if you go back to my lj, all the way to 2005, there is an entry where I am basically saying GOSH GUYS SO I READ THIS SERIES CALLED D.GRAY-MAN AND I REALLY REALLY LOVE THE MAIN CHARACTER! HE IS REALLY LIKE ALL MY CHARACTER PINGS! GOSH! I REALLY REALLY LIKE THIS SERIES!!

And then Hoshino went on her first major hiatus and I kind of fell out of reading it until ... man, I can't remember if it was when Devit apped at CFUD or not but I was like it's picked back up again yessssssssssss and started catching up and I was reminded YET AGAIN that gosh, I love Allen Walker's stupid face. THAT STUPID STUPID FACE. But Zazzle plays him at CFUD and for whatever reason I can't seem to write DGM fic so it was just like this \o_o/ I GUESS I WILL JUST LOVE THE CHARACTER WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING FANNISH FOR HIM.

And then Aather opened up, but there was the other Allen for a while. :|a So I thought I lost my chance there--but when I apped Sharon like three(?)ish months I realized that Allen Walker wasn't in Aather any more. Then I rolled around uselessly for a while because Zazzle AND Boxy are in Aather and they've played Allen Walker's stupid face for longer and ahhhhhhhhhhh what if they saw me!! WHAT WOULD I DO AHHHHHHHH.

and then I think I got punched in the face by a few people and wrote my app. :B THE END!! It's a very silly story.

As for what I really liked about him, I enjoyed that he was this--really good person who wasn't always a very nice person, and that he had this understanding and love for his enemies and stuck to his guns regardless of who was against him, whether it was his superiors, his friends, or possibly even God??? who knows at this point mybff Hoshino. He wasn't like--rough-and-tumble shounen hero like 99% of JUMP heroes then and now, but he wasn't always this cultured young gentleman either.

IDK I LOVE HIS STUPID FACE. :(

Have you ever thought about apping a second?

I am... actually in the process of apping a second AS WE SPEAK. I am very excited about it. AM I ALLOWED TO SAY MORE ABOUT THIS? I am not sure.

This doesn't really count as a question, I will ask you a real question after, BUT: do you want to do a SAPPHIRE BANQUET CAKE POST in the next day or two?

I'm trying to app Inara from Firefly, but I probably won't send it in until my DVDs arrive and I can review a little (hopefully this will happen tomorrow). I have all the ideas! About how amnesia will affect her! She has a totally different voice from any other character I've ever played! I get to make new icons if I'm accepted! Because of the queue I will actually have time to do so! Aaaaah! Exclamation point!
