MR STUPID FACE LIKES MITCHELL! IN THAT SORT OF WARY "AM I ACTUALLY MAKING FRIENDS WITH OTHER PEOPLE?! \o_o/?!?!?!?!" WAY!

actually Mitchell was probably the first Tiger's Eye that he felt decently--not quite comfortable, but less wary around? Kite came on too strongly for him when he first arrived, and everyone else was freaking about OMG OMG WINTER?! but Mitchell ... was kind of sensible and not nice-nice but at least not a total jerkface. And made an effort to talk to him as a sensible person! Which counted for a hell of a lot! So he's got ambivalent-towards-good feelings on Mitchell, which tipped a lot further when Mitchell said that he liked Sapphire. Y-yay, someone likes my team?! SOMEONE WHO ISN'T MY TEAM LIKES MY TEAM-- yay!!

so really Tiger's Eye is probably Allen's favorite team that doesn't have castmates on it \:D/

WHAT ABOUT IN REVERSE

Allen used to be in the "Valiant's friends" category in Mitchell's head, which means he was predisposed to try and be friendly with him and check up on him every now and then but their conversation about team stuff really did move him out of that into being someone Mitchell appreciates as his own person. He doesn't really think of him as a friend so much as a person who he likes who he wants to be a good role model to and help succeed, which is cause of the age difference between them (which is silly because Mitchell is over 100 but he tends to think with his apparent age rather than his actual age) but depending on how things play out he can get over that :|a But yeah he thinks Allen is a good kid! Who can be a bit grumpy but really being a bit grumpy is a perfectly reasonable reaction to being stuck in Aather.

Are there any memories you're particularly looking forward to getting back for your two?

Yessssssssss actually! MOSTLY FOR ALLEN, because Sharon is pretty solidly zen--more of her negs would be interesting if they crack through her shell enough for more of her team to realize Something Was Wrong, but even then, she ... internalizes and neutralizes and rolls on the same as before.

With Allen I am looking forward to him getting back the memory of making Mana into an Akuma. :'D Because that's probably the hugest dramatic (and traumatic) turning point in his life--his worst mistake and his greatest sin. Right now he is pretty certain that Mana is dead, but it's not this bottled-up thing inside of him and he's still pretty okay with bringing him up and even talking about him a little--getting the memory back will sort of HARDCORE BREAK HIM FOR A WHILE, unless he already has the other ones I really am looking forward to, which were the ones detailed in the most recent chapter! Because it's after that whole traumatic affair that people tell him he does have the right to consider himself Mana's family and that THEY consider him Mana's family and it's like //////// g-gosh a real family that was mine for me /////

Relatedly after he gets the MANA TRAUMA MEMORY I will unlock and prioritize the month that he lived through PTSD and Cross had to care for him, and he came out of it as "Allen Walker" who speaks politely and gently and found the will to move on. :|a

Do you want castmates for Mitchell, or are you happier with him being the only one from his canon?

Hmmmmm I want castmates for like, OOC reasons of wanting to flail with other people who are invested in this canon and wanting to see how those characters grow and turn out in Aather because I love almost all the characters from his canon, but in terms of Mitchell's actual character development I don't mind either way. It would throw some super interesting spanners into his works to have any of his canonmates that I'd love to play out, but I'd also love to play out how he develops with no canon influences so it evens out really!

How do you think Sharon and Allen might have been different if they hadn't had castmates here?

Hmmmmmmmmm. :|a I don't think Sharon would have panicked quite so much during her first trauma game if she hadn't known Break was already in Aather! Because part of what stymied her in that being forced to make a choice was "oh god what if that really nice man on Amethyst gets hurt DDDD|" At the time she hadn't remembered him, but he remembered her, and he was the first person she'd gotten a really strong positive impression of! WHAT IF HE GOT HURT DDDDDDD| NOOOOOOOO D| so you could blame Break for Kunzite developing into Moezite in some ways. She might've been a little more relaxed and a little less NO THIS CANNOT BE if that hadn't been the case--but she might have! She's not an extremely dynamic character. :|a

FOR ALLEN ... he'd probably be less willing to open up to other teams or put himself out there to talk to more people. He'd still be friends(???!) with the unrelated folks that he met, but he'd probably stick to Sapphire more and been more inclined to pick a couple of them to be his sounding boards for really really bad memories. RIGHT NOW he's more relaxed towards other teams because he has to trust them with two people who are very important to him! And at this point he's only really willing to share his bad memories with Rabi and Lenalee because they get it. They understand! That's very important to him. So ultimately I'm really glad they apped, because a) they're best castttttttt :3 and b) it gives me more opportunities for him to be social with other people! Yessss.
